1. Kapag naniniwala siya na kapag ito’y suot-suot ng kanyang asawa ay dahilan upang magiging matibay ang kanilang pagsasama, ito’y Shirk Asghar, dahil hindi yan ginawa ng Allah na dahilan sa ganyan. At kung naniniwala siya na ito mismo ang magpapatibay ng kanilang pagsasama, ito’y Shirk Akbar (Shirk sa Rububiyyah), dahil sa paniniwala niyang may iba pang Tagakuntrol o Tagapangasiwa maliban sa Allah.
2. Kapag sinuot lamang niya ito nang walang ganong paniniwala, ito’y panggagaya sa mga kristiyano, dahil sa kanila nagmula ang natatanging tradisyon na yan at madalas nilang ginagawa yan sa kasal.
3. Kapag ang singsing ay yari sa ginto, yan ay haram sa mga lalaki.
Kaya’t ang pagsusuot ng wedding ring ay maaaring shirk (asghar o di kaya’y akbar), o di kaya’y panggagaya sa mga kristiyano, o di kaya’y haram.
Ngunit kung ang isusuot na singsing ay hindi dahil sa wedding ring (normal lang na singsing), at hindi ginto (para sa mga kalalakihan) at hindi panggagaya sa mga kristiyano, ay walang problema. Sapagkat ang Propeta ﷺ noon ay nagsuot din ng singsing na yari sa pilak, bilang pangselyo sa kanyang mga ipinapadalang mga sulat sa mga Hari ng iba’t-ibang emperyo.
