Unang Talata
“Basahin! Sa ngalan ng iyong Nag-iisang Panginoon na siyang lumikha!” [96:1]
Ito ang unang Banal na Komunikasyon kay Propeta Muhammad (SAWS). Ito ang palatandaan ng pagsisimula ng kanyang ministeryo.
Ito ay nagpapahiwatig sa kahalagahan ng wastong kaalaman at edukasyon, Islamikong kaalaman, pagkilala sa Allah at kung ano ang nais ng Allah.
Ang pagtawag sa pangalan ng Allah bago mag-aral at maghanap ng kaalaman ay isang kapuri-puring kagandahang-asal, at isang paalala na maghanap ng kapaki-pakinabang na kaalaman.
Ikalawang Talata
“Nilikha Niya (ng Allah) ang tao mula sa isang nakakapit na anyo.” [96:2]
Ang paglikha sa tao ay mula sa pinakadakilang biyaya ng Allah at isang bagay na hindi natin dapat na balewalain.
Gayunpaman, ito ay binanggit na pangalawa sa kaalaman ng walang wastong kaalaman, ang mga tao ay naligaw at walang patnubay.
Ang pinagsamang kaalaman na nakalulugod sa Allah at ang pagsasabuhay ng kaalamang ito kasama ang iba pang mga biyaya ng Allah tulad ng katawan at isipan ay ang daan tungo sa tagumpay sa buhay na ito at sa kabilang buhay.
Ikatlong Talata
“Basahin! Ang iyong Nag-iisang Panginoon ang Nag-iisang Pinaka Mapagbigay.” [96:3]
Ang isang pag-uulit ng kautusan ay upang maghanap ng wastong kaalaman, bigyang-diin at muling ipahayag ang kahalagahan nito.
Basahin at pag-aralan ang kaalaman na ipinagkaloob sa iyo ng Allah sa pamamagitan ng Banal na Kasulatan, dahil Siya (ang Allah) ang pinaka-Maawain at Mapagbigay.
Walang sinumang maihahambing sa Kanyang kabaitan at pagiging bukas-palad dahil Siya ay nagtataglay ng pinaka-perpektong mga katangian.
Ika-apat na Talata
“Na nagturo sa pamamagitan ng panulat.” [96:4]
Mula sa mga dakilang biyaya ng Allah sa sangkatauhan ay tinuruan Niya silang magsulat at magtala ng kaalaman.
Maghanap ng kaalaman at isulat ang kaalaman na sumasaklaw sa lahat ng iba pang anyo tulad ng mga pagtatanong, pagsasaliksik, pag-unawa at pagtuturo.
Ang mga libro at talaan ng mga impormasyon ay ang pinakamalaking mga mapagkukunan ng kaalaman na magagamit.
Ika-limang Talata
“Na nagturo sa tao ng hindi niya nalalaman.” [96:5]
Ipinapakita nito ang antas ng Islamikong kaalaman, dahil maaaring pinili ng Allah na simulan ang Qur’an sa iba pang mga tagubilin o gawaing pagsamba.
Ang dahilan nito na ang wastong kaalaman ay nagpapahintulot sa atin na tiyakin na sinasamba natin ang Allah ng tama at alinsunod sa paraang pinaka nakalulugod sa Kanya.
Kung wala ang kaalaman, ang pagsamba, ang paniniwala at ang iba pa, ang mga kasanayan ay nadudungisan at nagiging kontra-produktibo o nagkakaroon ng kabaligtaran sa epekto nito.
